A picturesque bed and breakfast situated on the hill overlooking the best of Golden, CO, the Dove Inn is perfect in every way.
For our recent anniversary, my husband and I chose a staycation in beautiful Golden, CO. Given current travel restrictions and the state of the world, we felt being close to home and the kids would be ideal. Dove Inn offered us the perfect retreat from reality. As an industry professional, I’ve been to many special places and stayed in some truly one-of-a-kind spaces. I can say that this was my favorite bed and breakfast experience to date.
Immediately when you walk in, the hotel greets you with the COOLEST lobby. Filled with warm woods, original tile work, velvet covered furnishings, a gorgeous staircase up to the rooms, a unique coffee/kombucha bar, a shared kitchen and easily my favorite thing, a pulley system which runs the overhead fans. My mind always goes to how this could be utilized in the wedding industry. I would highly suggest as a honeymoon stay, anniversary stay or you could rent the Inn out completely for family or your wedding party for a unique, luxurious experience. The kombucha and coffee are all locally sourced and the bar itself boasts an iPad with tutorials from area baristas on how to make the perfect pour. The hotel offers an aeropress, pour over and nitro. Yes, please!
Each of the guest rooms is different. We had the pleasure of staying in the Aspen room. The perfectly appointed bathroom was private off of the entrance and then the main space boasts an incredibly comfortable queen bed, a cozy living space with romantic velvet, and a soaking tub as well. The decor was minimal but perfectly placed. As a Montana native the Charles M Russell book really spoke to me. The tub had a quaint wooden chair with bath bomb and terrycloth robes hanging nearby. I am a huge sucker for robes, so they got me.
Once we looked around the Inn we went exploring just steps outside of the front door. It was a perfect night, so after an hour walking about we landed on the Thai restaurant across the street, with some sake to go. We ate on the front patio while overlooking the beauty of surrounding mountains and downtown Golden.
Golden itself has so much to offer from kayaking, to hiking to biking and beyond. The Dove Inn was the perfect place to enjoy Colorado as both a local and a tourist. I would recommend to anyone who can make their way there.
